Skid. Check skid for cracks and other damage. If
damaged, notify your supervisor.

Auxiliary Fuel Supply. Check auxiliary fuel tank and
lines for damage and leaks. Replace lines as required
(para 2-12). If tank is damaged, notify your
supervisor.
Boost Pump Assembly
CAUTION
To prevent damage to equipment, do not operate engine without
sufficient water supply to keep pump cool and lubricated.

Boost Pump. Start engine. (See TM 10-4610-229-10.)
Check pump for unusual noise and vibration. Replace as
required (para 2-41).

Battery. Service battery. (See TM 9-6140-200-14.)

Instrument Panel. Check gages for damage and proper
operation. Replace as required (para 2-18).

Wiring Harness. Check wires for damage and loose
connections. Tighten or replace as required (para
2-40).

Volute Housing. Check for cracks, leaks, and other
damage. If housing is damaged, notify your supervisor.

Diesel Engine. Check speed adjustment device and speed
control screw for proper operation. Replace as
required (para 2-59).

Fuel Tank and Lines. Inspect fuel tank and filler neck
filter for damage. Replace as required (para 2-44).
Inspect fuel lines for damage and leaks. Replace as
required (para 2-21).
