3-9. TOOLBOX FRAME.
The toolbox frame (3, fig. 3-5) is attached to the floor of the van body on the left-hand side by the erdlator tank
and is designed to contain the stowage or toolbox. Inspect the frame for cracks, rust, breaks, or other damage.
3-10. WATER DISTRIBUTION PUMP FRAME.
The water distribution pump frames (1, fig. 2-15) are located between the erdlator tank and the entrance ladders
located in the rear of the van body and are designed to contain the two water distribution pumps. Inspect the frame for
broken welds, bend members, and chipped or damaged paint.
3-11. LEVELING JACKS.
Four screw type leveling jacks (fig. 3-6) are suppplied with each van body. The jacks are used to level and
support the van body when the water purification unit is in operation.
Drycleaning solvent, P-D-80, used to clean parts is potentially dangerous to personnel and property.
Wear chemical resistant gloves when using solvents, and avoid repeated or prolonged skin contact.
Do not use near open flame or excessive heat. Flash point of solvent is 100 degrees F to 138
degrees F (38 degrees C to 59 degrees C).
Cleaning. Clean all parts in drycleaning solvent.
Inspection. Inspect jack for cracked housing, bent screw, and other damage.
3-12. VAN BODY ASSEMBLY.
The van body has a double door (13, fig. 1-2) at the rear and a single door (2) on the side. A ladder (10, fig. 1-3)
is supplied for each door. It has four lifting shackles (1, fig. 1-2); two at the lower front corners and two at the lower rear
corners. The van is equipped with two separate electric systems; a 24 vdc and a 120 vac. It has clearance lights at the
front and rear. The front lights are located at the center and corners and consist of seven amber lights for normal
operation and four white lights equipped with blackout
