Identify all wires and terminals as the wires are disconnected to facilitate reinstallation.
Remove terminal screws (9, fig. 4-49) securing two wires (10) to terminal block (8).
Remove two screws (7) securing terminal block to electrical control cabinet and ground wire (11).
Cleaning, Inspection, and Replacement.
Drycleaning solvent, P-D-680, used to clean parts is potentially dangerous to personnel and property.
Wear chemical resistant gloves when using solvents, and avoid repeated and prolonged skin contact.
Do not use near open flame or excessive heat. Flash point of solvent is 100 degrees F to 138
degrees F (38 degrees C to 59 degrees C).
Clean terminal block with a cloth moistened with drycleaning solvent. Remove any corrosion from
terminals with fine (000) sandpaper.
Inspect terminal block for cracks, loose terminals, and other damage.
Replace terminal block if base is cracked or if terminals are defective.
Position terminal block assembly (8, fig. 4-49) in electrical control cabinet and secure with two screws (7).
Attach ground wire (11) with one mounting screw.
Position two wires (10), as previously tagged, on terminal block assembly and secure them with two screws
