Drycleaning solvent, P-D-680, used to clean parts is potentially dangerous to personnel and property.
Wear chemical resistant gloves when using solvents, and avoid repeated or prolonged skin contact.
Do not use near open flame or excessive heat. Flash point of solvent is 100 degrees F to 138
degrees F (138 degrees C to 59 degrees C).
c. Cleaning. Clean all parts in drycleaning solvent.
d. Inspect. Inspect all parts for damage.
e. Replace. Replace all damaged parts.
f. Reassembly and Installation.
(1) Disconnect two elbow unions (1, fig. 4-82) and install male portions in two plug valves (6, fig. 4-81).
(2) Install pipe (9, fig. 4-82) and pipe (6) in opposite ends of tee (8), and screw a nipple (4) in the tee.
(3) Assemble a valve (3), nipple (2), and a female portion of elbow union (1), and screw valve (3) on nipple
(2).
(4) Connect pipes (6) together with slip joint coupling (7).
(5) Install elbow (5) on pipe (6) and nipple (4) in elbow (5).
(6) Assemble a valve (3), nipple (2), and a female portion of elbow union (1), and screw valve (3) on nipple
(2).
(7) Position coagulated water piping as an assembly on male portion of two elbow unions and connect elbow
unions.
(8) Secure piping assembly to piping support (4, fig. 4-81) with the U-bolt (1), washers (3), and nuts (2).
(9) Screw draincock (8, fig. 4-81) in tee (9) and screw tee on pipe (9, fig. 4-82).
(10) Install nipple (10, fig. 4-81) in tee (9), then install elbow (11) on nipple and pipe (12) in elbow (11).
(11) Install an elbow (1) on pipe (12), a pipe (3) in elbow, and half of a union (4) on pipe (3).
(12) Secure pipe (3) to the ceiling with a pipe strap (2).
