Operators Troubleshooting Chart for Oil-Water Separator,
Type A and B
TEST OR INSPECTION
Unable to discharge water overboard or water discharge valve
valve closes before sufficient oil is discharged or
remains open and allows oil level to drop too low in sight glass.
Are switches ON?
Place auto control and supply pump
switches in ON position.
Inspect for defective fuse.
Replace fuse per paragraph 3-7.
Inspect for loose electrical connections.
Tighten with switch OFF.
Test for defective mini-probe.
Refer to table 3-4
or 3-5, test procedures 2 and 3.
