Release straps over the backwash pump (3) and remove cover. Remove pump from ROWPU.
j.
(Army) The distribution pump (2) is fastened to the rear platform of the ROWPU trailer. It is
packaged for two men to carry (portable). Release holddown straps, remove the ladder and canvas cover, then
remove the distribution pump from trailer.
k. (MC) The distribution pump (2) is packaged for two men to carry (portable), and is separate from
unit. Remove packing material and canvas cover from pump.
NOTE
The portable total dissolved solids (TDS) meter is factory calibrated to give
conductivity characteristics closely representing natural fresh waters. When
treating seawater and brackish water, it will be necessary to recalibrate the
meter on a standard sodium chloride solution in order to get accurate readings
on the product water and raw water.

Open the chemical storage box (box No. 2). Take out the calibrated measuring container (sample
beaker) and the portable total dissolved solids (TDS) meter.
