2-54. WATER METER (FLOW RATE INDICATOR) MAINTENANCE.
This task consists of:
a. Removal

Tools Required
General Mechanics Tool Kit (Appendix B. Section III, Item 4)
Material/Parts Required
Tape, Anti-seize (Appendix C, Section II, Item 30)

Reference
ROWPU shutdown (TM 10-4610-240-10).
Power shutdown (power source manual)
ROWPU piping drained (TM 1-4610-24-10).
REMOVAL
a. Disconnect two unions (1 and 3).
b. Remove water meter (2) from unit.
INSTALLATION
a. Apply antiseize tape to male pipe threads Be sure tape is wrapped in same direction as threads.
b. Position water meter (2) between unions (1 and 3).
c. Connect and tighten unions (1 and 3).
d. Operate ROWPU (TM 10-61-240-10). Check for leaks and proper operation.
