General Mechanics Tool Kit (Appendix B, Section III, Item 4).
Snap Ring Pliers (Appendix B, Section III, Item 3).

Detergent (Appendix C, Section II, Item 5)
Rags, Wiping (Appendix C, Section II, Item 14)
Diaphragm (TM 10-4610-241-24P)
Packing (TM l0-4610-241-24P)
Equipment Condition
Relay Valve removed (Paragraph 2-85).

Disassembly.

Remove screw (1), diaphragm washer (2), and exhaust diaphragm (3).

Exhaust cover is installed under spring tension. Failure to release pressure slowly can
cause loss of parts. Keep pressure on exhaust cover during removal.
Remove three cap screws (4), spacers (5), and exhaust cover (6).
Remove packing (7 and 8) from exhaust cover (6).
Remove emergency spring (9), piston and valve assembly (10) and packing (11).
Remove retaining ring (12) and inlet and exhaust valve assembly (13) from emergency piston (19).
Remove valve guide (14), packing (15), valve spring (16) and valve retainer (17) from inlet and exhaust
valve (18).

Remove packing (15) from valve guide (14).
(8)
Remove compression spring (20) and check valve ball (21).
