WARNING
The gasoline engine and water heater exhausts can be lethal. Do not
inhale these gases. A chemical-biological mask does not protect
against carbon monoxide. When the decontaminating apparatus is to
be operated, the exhaust gases must be vented away from the operator
or outside of an enclosed area to prevent carbon monoxide poisoning.
a. Remove only two of the four cover panels that are marked REMOVE
BEFORE OPERATING. The two cover panels to be removed are next to
the engine exhausts (1).
b. Lubricate the engine with the grade of oil to be used in winter conditions
(see LO 92805-259-12). Fill the fuel tank with automotive gasoline type A
(item 14, app D) if temperatures are consistently below 32F.
