Stopping the Engine
Move the governor control to the off position.
CAUTION
Stopping the engine immediately after it has been
under
load,
can
result
in
overheating
and
accelerated wear of the engine components. Follow
the stopping procedure, outlined below, to allow the
engine
to
cool,
and
to
prevent
excessive
temperatures in the turbocharger center housing
that will cause oil coking problems.
1. Operate the engine at low idle, with no load, for five
(5) minutes.
2. Stop the engine.
Mechanical Governor Control
Pull upward on the hand grip, and move the con trol to
the shut off position.
