and viscosity as engine lube oil. Increase
frequency of cleaning in dusty, rainy or
Lubricate overspeed governor with five or
six drops of engine oil. Avoid excesive lubri-
cation. Do not lubricate governor while
engine is in operation.
Lubricate throttle control mechanism with all
purpose grease. Use no.2 grade at temper-
atures above 30' F. Use no.1 grade at tem-
peratures below 30' F.
Check tension on all drive belts so that a firm
push with thumb will depress each belt at
least 1/2 inch but no more than 3/4 inch. If
one belt from a set needs to be replaced,
replace the complete set.
Lubricate tachomeer drive with an all-
purpose grease at the grease fitting. At tem-
peratures above + 30°F (-1 'C) use a No. 2
grade grease. Use a No. 1 grade grease
below this temperature.
