2-41. BELT HOUSING/BOOST PUMP REPLACEMENT/REPAIR (CONT)

Removal and Disassembly

Open cam arms. Remove suction hose.

Remove four bolts and flatwashers from pump mounts.
3
Remove three nuts and lockwashers from bellhousing.
4
Remove six screws, lockwashers, and flatwashers. Remove belt housing cover.

Move pump and belt housing away from bellhousing as far as it will go.

Remove four bolts, lockwashers, and flatwashers. Remove eight shims and vent screen from tombstone
adapter.
7
Remove three bolts from lower belt drive gear.
NOTE
The belt drive gear is pressed from coupling using the bolts in drive gear.
8
Insert bolts from drive gear into threaded holes of belt drive gear.
9
Tighten bolts alternately. Separate drive gear from coupling. Remove bolts.
