ELECTRICAL SYSTEM MALFUNCTIONS

NO ELECTRICAL POWER TO SUBSYSTEMS WITH IGNITION SWITCH IN ANY POSITION.
Step 1.
Check battery. (See TM 9-6140-200-14.)
Replace defective battery (para 2-16).
Step 2.
Check battery cables for tightness and corrosion.
Clean and tighten connections.
Replace defective cables (para 2-15).
Step 3.
Check ignition switch.
Replace defective switch (para 2-18).
Step 4.
Check wiring harness for continuity.
Repair or replace defective wiring (para 2-19).
2.
AMPERES GAGE SHOWS DISCHARGE WITH ENGINE RUNNING.
Step 1.
Check wiring harness for continuity.
Repair or replace defective wiring (para 2-19).
Step 2.
Test charging system (para 2-16).
If charging system fails test, notify your supervisor.

UTILITY LAMP INOPERATIVE.
