Attach float to strainer with enough rope to allow strainer to go under water but not touch bottom. Avoid
placing the strainer near sandy areas. Hook up raw water system (fig. 2-32). Use only enough hose to reach from the
water source to the ROWPU.
CAUTION
Ensure all hose connections are tight and seals are in place. Raw water
pumps will not prime if the raw water hoses draw air. To prevent damage
to ROWPU due to leaves and dirt, DO NOT operate pumps without
strainer.
