WARNING
Lifting heavy equipment incorrectly can cause serious injury.
Using compressed air can be dangerous.
a.
Removal.
(1)
Loosen two set screws (1) and remove coupling half (2) and key (3) from motor (4).
(2)
Remove four bolts (5) and lockwashers (6).
WARNING
Weight of R.O. pump motor is 240 pounds. Attempting to move it without proper
equipment could cause serious injury. Hoist motor with equipment rated at 1 ton or
more.
(3)
Attach lifting device to lifting eye (7).
(4)
Remove motor (4) from mounting plate (8) and position on work bench. Remove four pads
(9) and save for remounting the motor.

Disassembly.
(1)
Remove four nuts (10) and fan cover (11) from bracket (12).
(2)
Pull fan (13) and deflector ( 14) from shaft of rotor (15).
Change 1
