TOTAL DISSOLVED SOLIDS METER.
Solids dissolving in a liquid leave ions suspended in that liquid. Ions conduct electrical current and can be used to
measure dissolved solids. The conductivity of a liquid is measured in microhms (mohm) and is directly proportional to the
total dissolved solids displayed by the meter in parts per million (milligrams per liter) (PPM (mg/l)).
A water sample is taken and placed inside the cell cup for test. The meter is set to the desired range and activated.
Reading is given in parts per million from an analog scale. A range extender is supplied for testing beyond the standard
meter range.
