drives the amplifier to clipping.
When the push-to-page button is pushed, the talk line is connected to +24 volts DC through a 16,000 ohm resistor. This,
in conjunction with a 16,000 ohm resistor from the diode-blocked input to ground on the M3131 amplifier, will apply
12VDC to the diode, forward biasing it and "opening" the input. See Application note 17209P-03 for further details on
