(b) Install V-belts on pulleys by hand
without forcing belts.
Install belt tensioner assembly,
two brackets, and four
flatwashers and bolts.
(c) Tighten two adjusting screws.
Tighten two locknuts.
(d) Pump grease into grease fittings.
(e) Adjust V-belts.
3) Housing installation
(a) Install front V-belt housing (two
pieces). Install 32 mounting
screws and lockwashers.
(b) Check battery fluid level. Add
fluid if necessary. Make sure all
electrical connections are clean
and tight and batteries are clean
and secure.
(c) Check diesel engine and HP
pump for leaks, general
cleanliness, and placement and
tightness of guards.
(d) During engine startup, measure
oil level while engine is running at
low idle. Oil level must be
between the ADD and FULL
marks on the dipstick.
(e) Add oil (OEIHDO-MIL-L-2104) if
necessary.
