Removal
1.
Draining
a. With the pump (1) running,
system
discharge as much oil as
possible from the separator
stage in which the filter
support is to be replaced
according to the following:
(1) Open the oil discharge
valve (2 or 3) on either
the first (prefilter) or
second stage (4 or 5).
(2) Close the water dis-
charge valve (6).
NOTE
Allow the oil to discharge for approximately one to
two seconds after the oil disappears from the sight
glass before closing the oil discharge valve.
