c. Installation.
(1) Place the side of new rupture disc (3) that curves upward toward the top.
(2) Insert it into body (4).
(3) Replace holddown ring (2).
CAUTION
To avoid damaging rupture disc, do NOT overtighten holddown screw.
(4) Reinsert holddown screw (1). Tighten until hand tight (snug), then tighten 1/8 turn with
wrench.
3-8. REPAIR OF CANVAS PRODUCT WATER AND BRINE WATER TANKS.
a. General. Canvas tanks with rubber backing are used to store product water and brine water.
Sometimes these tanks may be cut or punctured. Tanks then leak and must be repaired.
CAUTION
To avoid possible damage, the site should be free from stones or sharp sticks,
be fairly smooth, and covered with the ground cloth before the tank is placed on
ground.
