Using handles, lift cartridge filter cage assembly from filter housing. Place it upside down on a
clean work surface.

Remove three nuts, six flatwashers, and three springs. Lift and remove lower spider from tie
rods.
CAUTION
DO NOT attempt to remove upper or lower seals. If seals come loose, be sure to install upper
seals on upper spider and lower seals on lower spider. Failure to install seals correctly may result
in water leakage.

Inspect upper and lower spiders for loose or damaged seals. Install loose seals. If seal is
damaged or missing, notify your supervisor.

Clean internal parts and inside filter housing with water. Hose down with clean water.
