Cut pipe square.38Using file, put 100 to 150 chamfer on the pipe.39Using clean rag, wipe the pipe surface and fitting socket to remove all dirt, moisture, and grease.40Check fit of pipe and fittings. Pipe should enter socket to fittings about one-third to three-quarters of total fitting depth.41Aline pipe and fittings. Mark alinement. Disassemble pipe and fittings.CAUTIONCement dries quickly. Make sure pipes are alined before cement dries.42 Put cement on pipe ends. Using alinement marks, assemble pipe and fittings. Let cement dry.2-154
