3-20. FLYWHEEL AND RING GEAR REPLACEMNT

Removal
1
Remove four bolts, lockwashers, and flatwashers. Remove strainer.

Remove six socket-head screws and washer securing flywheel and ring gear. Remove flywheel and ring
gear.

Remove ring gear from flywheel.

Installation
1
Install ring gear on flywheel.

Install flywheel and ring gear. Install washer and six socket-head screws.
3
Install strainer. Install four flatwashers, lockwashers, and bolts.
4
Install hand crank assembly (para 3-14).
5
Connect battery (para 2-16).
