Remove bearings from connecting rod and cap.

Inspect parts for damage. Replace as required.

Installation

Using engine oil (MIL-L-2104), lubricate bearings, connecting rod cap, and connecting rod.

Install bearing in connecting rod and connecting rod cap.
3
Install connecting rod and cap on crankshaft.
4
Install two bolts. Torque bolts to 45-51 ft lb.
5
Install piston (para 3-18).
6
Install oil pan (para 2-37).
