STEP 1. CLOSE CONTROL VALVE CV-40.
STEP 2. WHEN EFFLUENT PRESSURE GAGE INDICATES APPROXIMATELY THE SAME READING AS THE INFLUENT PRESSURE
GAGE, STOP THE FILTER PUMP BY PRESSING THE STOP BUTTON. (FIG. 2-11)
STEP 3. CLOSE CONTROL VALVE CV-34.
STEP 4. PLACE AIR RELEASE VALVE ARV-49 IN THE BACKWASH POSITION AND IMMEDIATELY OPEN DRAIN VALVE DV-46.
STEP 5. AFTER THE FILTER HAS COMPLETELY DRAINED, TURN CONTROL VALVE CV-36 TO WASH POSITION.
STEP 6. OPEN CONTROL VALVE CV-34.
STEP 1. START FILTER PUMP BY PRESSING THE START BUTTON. (FIG. 2-11)
STEP 8. OPERATE THE PUMP FOR NO LESS THAN ONE MINUTE, THEN STOP THE PUMP BY PRESSING THE STOP BUTTON.
STEP 9. CLOSE CONTROL VALVE CV-34.
NOTE:
BACKWASHING DOES NOT REMOVE ALL SUSPENDED MATTER, IT WILL BE NECESSARY TO REMOVE AND CLEAN
THE ELEMENTS.
