TROUBLESHOOTING ANALYSIS

Compressor Will Not Start
Probable Cause
Remedy
Disconnect switch open.
Close disconnect switch.
Blown fuse or fuses at disconnect
Check for cause of failure and
switch.
replace the fuse or fuses.
Selector switch on OFF position.
Adjust the selector switch to
COOL position.
Thermostat set too high.
Adjust to a lower temperature
setting.
Temperature satisfied.
Check thermostat setting.
Overload protectors open.
Check for short circuit or
malfunction of protectors.
High pressure cut-out.
Reset by depressing pressure cut-out
button located on box.
Starter holding coil open.
Replace coil.
Ruptured fusible plug.
Replace plug and recharge.
Loose or open electrical
Inspect and secure all electrical
connection in either the control
connections.
or power circuit.
Low on refrigerant.
Recharge after checking for leaks
and/or repairing.

Compressor Short Cycles
Probable Cause
Remedy
Dirty Filters.
Clean or replace filters.
Overload heaters tripping out.
Check for high suction and/or dis-
charge pressure and adjust accordingly.
