CONFIGURATION: CONTROLSElectric Displacement ControlElectric Displacement Controls are available thatprovide pump output flow (displacement) in eitherdirection that is approximately proportional to anelectrical input signal. The Electric Displacement Control is available with apressure override feature. The control does not include the system necessary forproviding the input signal. Sundstrand does notmanufacture this control, but works with themanufacturer to provide this option.Manual Variable Pressure ControlThe Variable Pressure Control is designed to provide adifferential system pressure that is approximatelyproportional to the angular movement of the controlhandle. This control can be used for high inertia loads.Pressure is used to start the load moving (control handlerotated in one direction), then shut off (handle to neutral)allowing the load to coast. Applying pressure againstthe load (control handle rotated in opposite direction )will stop the load. The control will return to neutral if thecontrol handle is released. The internal centeringspring is not sufficient to overcome external controllinkage friction.CAUTIONTorque on the control handle shaft must not exceed 150in. lbs.Hydraulic Variable Pressure ControlThe Hydraulic Variable Pressure Control is designed tooperate in a similar manner to the manually operatedVariable Pressure Control except that the systempressure is proportional to a hydraulic command signal. This allows for remote machine control from a hydraulicsource and eliminates mechanical linkage.Torque (pressure) is used to start the load moving andthe load is then allowed to continue movement due to itsown inertia. Applying pressure in the opposite directionwill stop the load. The control is available in five different command signalranges with all five versions being field adjustable to5000 psi maximum system pressure.Page 5
