Determine Cause of A Shutdown
CAUTION
If the engine has been shut down by a safety
device, do not start the engine without
having the cause of the shutdown corrected.
Woodward Governors
Woodward Governors are usually electrically operated
from a control panel. The load application is usually a
generator set operation. On standby sets the governor
may be set to operate only at full load speed.
The engine may be stopped manually by moving the
hand lever upward or forward, depending upon the
installation.
Hold the lever in the stop position until the engine
stops.
