Maintenance RecommendationsFuel systemCAUTIONFill the fuel tank at the end of each day of opera tionto drive out moisture laden air and to preventcondensation. Do not completely fill the tank. Thefuel expands when it gets warm and may overflow.Water and sediment should be drained from the fueltank at the start of each shift or after the fuel tank hasbeen filled and allowed to stand for 5 to 20 minutes.Drain the fuel tank and water seperator of moisture andsediment as required by prevailing conditions.After changing the fuel filters, always prime the fuelsystem to remove air bubbles.GeneralCAUTIONAccumulated grease and oil on the engine is a firehazard. Remove this debris with steam cleaning orhigh pressure water, at least every 1000 servicemeter units or each time any significant quantity ofoil is spilled on the engine.Wipe all fittings, caps and plugs before servicing.22
