Compression Testing
1
Screw compression tester into cylinder head.

Put compression chart in tester.
WARNING
To prevent engine from starting and possibly injuring personnel, make sure injection pump stop
lever is in the stop position.

Hold the injection pump stop lever in the stop position throughout test.

Crank engine three to five turns.

Check reading of compression chart. Compression should be 348-377 psi. If compression not within this
range, notify your supervisor.

Remove compression tester from engine.

Installation
1
Install fuel injection nozzle. Install bow fastening. Install two flatwashers and nuts. Torque nuts to 8-11 ft lb.
2
Install fuel delivery line. Torque line nut to 15-18 ft lb.
