2-31. STARTER REPLACEMENT (CONT)
WARNING
To prevent electric shock, make sure battery is disconnected before performing this procedure.

Removal
1
Unstrap and move battery box aside.

Tag and disconnect wires and battery cable from starter.
3
Remove two starter mounting bolts and flatwashers. Remove starter.
b.
Installation
1
Install starter. Install two mounting bolts and washers.

Install wires and remove tags. Connect battery cable.
3
Install battery box. Connect battery cable (para 2-16).
4
Place battery box cover on battery box and buckle strap.
