2-123. SUCTION ADAPTER ASSEMBLY REPLACEMENT/REPAIR (CONT)
d. Installation
1
Install suction adapter on boost pump. Close cam arms.

Install cleaning hose on suction adapter. Close cam arms.
3
Install raw water pump hose on valve V-8 quick-disconnect fitting. Close cam arms.
4
Install valves V-9 and V-10 in barrel connections. Place barrel on barrel stand.
5
Open valves V-8, V-9, and V-10.
Section VII. PREPARATION FOR STORAGE OR SHIPNENT
2-124. LONG-TERM STORAGE
1
Remove reverse osmosis elements from reverse osmosis block assembly. (See TM 10-4610-229-10. )

Remove ends from ROWPAC storage units. Place reverse osmosis elements in ROWPAC units. Install ends.

Remove and discard cartridge filter elements. (See TM 10-4610-229-10. )

Disconnect all hoses. Drain and store.

Install caps on pretreatment assembly connections, multimedia filter connections, and high pressure pump
connections.

Drain oil from engine crankcases. Fill crankcases with preservative oil (MIL-L-21260). (See paragraphs 2-24, 2-
51, and 2-92. )
WARNING
To prevent fire or explosion, do not bring sparks or open flame near diesel fuel.

Drain all fuel tanks. Fill fuel tanks with a mixture of one part preservative oil (MIL-L-21260) and six parts fuel
(VVF-800).

Crank engines for 10 seconds each to circulate fluids. (See TM 10-4610-229-10. )
9
For high pressure pump assembly, drain coolant (para 2-98). Fill with fresh coolant.
