ROWPU Piping drained (TM 10-4610-241-10).
General Safety Instructions
WARNING
ROWPU piping and equipment can contain extremely high pressure during and after
operation. If this pressure is not relieved before performing maintenance, serious injury
or death may result. Be sure to open all drains and vents before performing
maintenance.
NOTE
The following procedures are typical for all grooved piping, elbows and couplings used
on ROWPU. Some of the removal and installation instructions may not be applicable to
your maintenance task. Perform only those tasks that affect replacement of the
defective components.
a.
Removal
(1)
Locate ends of grooved pipe (1) to be removed.
NOTE
Some grooved pipe sections are held in place with retaining straps. Remove retaining straps as required.
(2)
Remove two screws (2), flatwashers (3), lock washers (4), retaining strap (5) and insulation tape (6).
(3)
Loosen nut (7) and remove sensing line (8) and adapter (9) from grooved pipe (1).
