TACTICAL WATER PURIFICATION SYSTEM (TWPS)
DIRECT SUPPORT MAINTENANCE PROCEDURES
TACTICAL WATER PURIFICATION SYSTEM (TWPS) SKID, FLAT RACK,
AND TACTICAL QUIET GENERATOR (TQG)
WARNING
High voltage electrical hazard. High voltage is produced when the generator set is
in operation. Make sure that the Tactical Quiet Generator has been properly shut
down before attempting to remove the ground from the TQG. Failure to observe
this warning could result in injury or death from electrical shock.
NOTE
Refer to TM 5-6115-545-12 for generator operation.
a. Disconnect the TWPS power cable leads from the generator lugs labeled L1, L2, and L3.
b. Disconnect the TWPS power cable white lead from the generator neutral lug and the
green lead from the generator ground lug.
c. Tuck the TWPS power cable end inside the TWPS frame.
d. Disconnect the ground cable from the generator ground lug.
2. Remove the TQG from the flat rack as follows (see Figure 2):
a. Remove the hardware that secures the TQG to the floor of the flat rack (4 bolts, 8 flat
washers, 4 lock washers, and 4 nuts).
NOTE
The TQG can be removed out through either the front or the back of the flat rack.
b. Using appropriate lifting equipment, lift and remove the TQG off of the flat rack.
