LWP HIGH-PRESSURE PUMP MODULE
The LWP high-pressure pump module is a welded aluminum pipe frame that houses a diesel engine, a high-
pressure pump and gearbox, and a 3.5-gallon diesel fuel tank. An air-operated cylinder on the engine air inlet
shuts down the diesel engine. The high-pressure pump is a plunger pump that mates up to the diesel engine
through a gearbox. This pump has a maximum operating pressure of 2200 pounds per square inch (psi). A
flowmeter measures the RO feed water. A pulsation dampener maintains flow pressure and two pressure
switches, high and low, monitor the pressure in the piping. See Figure 4 and Figure 5.
