4-6. LOADING ACCESSORIES AND EQUIPMENT INTO VAN BODY AND TRAILER.
a.
Tape the male end of hoses or wrap them with a protective material to prevent damage during transporting.
b.
Tie hoses in bundles and load them in van body.
c.
Store part of the chemicals in trailer and part in van body. Fill trailer first.
d.
Place water testing equipment (comparator, residual chlorine disk, and orthotolidine solution) in the stowage box
(14, fig. 1-3).
e.
Place kitchen scoop and chemical measures in stowage box (14).
f.
Disconnect extension lights and place them in stowage box.
g.
See that all tools and accessories have been placed in the stowage box. Close box and secure it to frame.
h.
Stack rubber pails one inside the other and place them upside down on floor of van body.
i.
Remove four leveling Jacks from under van body and store them in Jack stowage box.
j.
Secure rear entrance ladder assembly (10, fig. 1-3) in ladder holder on inner side of left rear van door side.
k.
Secure side entrance ladder assembly (10) in ladder holder on inside of van door.
l.
Lash down or block the equipment and supplies in the van and trailer to prevent movement.
m.
Close and tape all van body windows to prevent damage while transporting.
n.
Close side panels and doors of van body. Lash down paulin on the cargo trailer.
4-7. TRANSPORTING.
a.
Cargo Trailer.
(1) Couple the trailer to the truck. Refer to TM 9-2330-213-14.
(2) Connect the brake air hoses and intervehicular cable (refer to TM 9-2330-213-14).
(3) Raise and secure the front caster. Refer to TM 9-2330-213-14.
