Removal.
(1)
Unscrew and slide off nuts (5, fig. 4-10) securing fuel lines (6 and 16) to elbows (4), and remove lines.
(2)
Unscrew conduit nut (7) and loosen bracket (8) from van body.
(3)
Remove screws and clamps (19) retaining flexible conduit (9) to van body.
(4)
Remove flexible conduit (9) with fuel lines (6 and 16), conduit nut (7), bracket (8) and clamps (19)
assembled on the conduit.
c.
Replace. Replace unserviceable lines with locally fabricated lines.
d.
Installation.
(1)
Secure flexible conduit (9) with fuel lines (6 and 16), conduit nut (7), and bracket (8) attached, to van body
using screws and clamps (19).
(2)
Tighten conduit nut (7) on bracket (8).
(3)
Secure fuel lines (6 and 16) to elbows (4) on fuel pump (3) using compression nuts (5).
SECTION VIII. MAINTENANCE OF ENGINE AND VEHICULAR ELECTRICAL SYSTEMS
4-18. VAN BODY CLEARANCE LIGHTS .
a.
Removal and Disassembly.
(1)
Remove two screws (5, fig. 4-11) and lift lens (8) and door (9) as an assembly from the mounting plate (2).
(2)
Remove four screws (3) from mounting plate (2) and remove plate and gasket from van body. Disconnect
wires at terminal.
(3)
Remove lamp (6) from base (4) by pressing in on lamp and turning it counterclockwise
(4)
Remove screw (5) and washer (11) from base (4) and separate base and mounting plate (2).
(5)
Remove spring nuts (7) and lens (8) from door (9).
b.
Reassembly and Installation.
(1)
Position lens (8, fig. 4-11) in door (9) and lock in place with spring nuts (7).
