Pry loop portion of pin (9) open enough to allow chain ring (10) to drop away from pin.
c.
Installation of Jack and Chain Pin Assembly.
(1)
Connect chain (8, fig. 3-6) to chain link (7) and leveling jack pin (9) in the following manner:
(a)
Place end link of chain (8) in chain attaching link (7) and close link.
(b)
Slide chain ring (10) in loop of leveling jack pin (9) and close up loop.
(2)
Insert leveling jack pin (9) through applicable hole in housing (6).
(3)
Position jack assembly under van body with base (2) inserted in jack holder assembly (1).
(4)
Turn lever (5) clockwise on jack screw (4) until lower base (2) is resting firmly on the ground.
d.
Replace. Replace jack assembly if housing, screw, or bases are damaged. Replace damaged pin and chain.
4-22. FRONT AND REAR LADDER HANGERS.
a.
General. The front and rear ladder hangers are located by each van body exit door and both doors are mounted
with exit ladder brackets.
b.
Removal.
(1)
Remove four screws (2, fig. 4-13) and bracket (1) from door (6).
(2) Unscrew clamp (8, fig. 4-14) and lift holder (9) off center bolt of bracket (7).
(3)
Remove four screws (6) from bracket (7) and remove bracket.
c.
Installation.
(1)
Position bracket (1, fig. 4-13) on door (6) and install screws (2).
(2)
Attach bracket (7, fig. 4-14) to door (10) using four screws (6).
(3)
Slide holder (9) on center bolt of bracket (7) and screw clamp (8) on center bolt.
d.
Replace. Straighten the brackets and clamp, if bent. Replace unserviceable parts.
