Open stowage box door (1) and support it in open position. Remove jacks.

Remove nuts (5) and washers (6) from capscrews (4). Remove the capscrews.

Close stowage box door and move box away from truck chassis.

Installation.
(1)
Position stowage box (2, fig. 4-15) against truck chassis and support it in place.
(2)
Open stowage box door (1) and support it in the open position.
(3)
Insert capscrews (4) through the truck frame into the box (2) and install the washers (6) and nuts (5).
(4)
Place the jacks in the box and close and latch the door.

Replace. Paint the stowage box (2, fig. 4-15) if necessary.
4-24. VAN BODY ASSEMBLY.

General. The van body is attached to the truck chassis with bolts and capscrews on each side. Wooden blocks
are used as a cushion between the van body and the truck chassis. Lifting ring attachments are provided to attach the
crane sling cables to the van body. The lifting ring attachments are located at the outboard front and rear of the two skid
rails running fore and aft of the underside of the van body.
WARNING
Be sure the crane used has a capacity of at least 12 tons (10,896 kg).
