(17) Remove male portion of union (3) from bushing (22) and reconnect two halves of union together.
(18) Remove bushing (22) from plug valve (23).
(19) Remove nipple (4) and elbow (5), then nipple (6) from filter (24).
(20) Disconnect union (17) from nipple (17) and remove slip joint coupling (11) from two pipes (10).
(21) Loosen retaining screws securing precoat funnel (7) to diatomite filter (24). This will allow enough
clearance to remove valve (9).
(22) Remove pipe (10) and valve (9), then nipple (8) from precoat funnel (7).
(23) Lift piping shown in figure 4-85 from unit assembled.
(24) Remove nipple (17, fig. 4-84), elbow (12), pipe (13), then other elbow (12).
(25) Remove pipe (1, fig. 4-85), elbow (14), nipple (15), the other elbow (14), and nipple (13) from tee (12).
(26) Remove union (10), nipple (11), tee (12), then the other nipple (11) from plug valve (2).
(27) Unscrew flange (9) from nipple (5), and remove nipple (5) from elbow union (8), elbow union from
nipple (7), and nipple (7) from valve (6).
