(28) Remove valve (6) from the other nipple (5).
(29) Remove nipple (5) and elbow (4), then nipple (3) from plug valve (2).
WARNING
Drycleaning solvent, P-D-680, used to clean parts is potentially dangerous to personnel and property.
Wear chemical resistant gloves when using solvents, and avoid repeated to prolonged skin contact.
Do not use near open flame or excessive heat. Flash point of solvent is 100 degrees F to 138
degrees F (38 degrees C to 59 degrees C).
c. Cleaning. Clean all parts in drycleaning solvent.
d. Inspect. Inspect all parts for damage.
e. Replace. Replace all damaged parts.
f. Reassembly and Installation.
(1) Install elbow (12, fig. 4-84) on nipple (17) and pipe (13) in elbow (12).
(2) Install other elbow (12) on pipe (13) and nipple (17) in the elbow, then install half of union (19) on the
nipple.
(3) Screw nipple (8) in filter precoat funnel (7) and install valve (9) on nipple.
(4) Install pipe (10) in valve (9) and slide joint coupling (11) on pipe.
(5) Install nipple (6) in filter (24) and connect elbow (5) on nipple.
(6) Install nipple (4) in elbow (5) and the female half of elbow union (3) on nipple.
(7) Install bushing (22) in plug valve (23) and the male half of elbow union (5) in bushing.
(8) Install nipple (3, fig. 4-85) in plug valve (2) and elbow (4) on nipple.
(9) Install nipple (5) in elbow (4) and valve (6) on nipple.
(10) Install nipple (7) in valve (6), elbow union (8) or nipple (7), and the other nipple (5) in the elbow union
(8).
(11) Install pipe flange (9) on nipple (5).
