Slide collar (12) on shaft (9) and key (14). After pulley (13) is in position, slide collar up against pulley, and
lock it with a setscrew (5).

Position pulley (13) on shaft (9) and key (14). Do not lock pulley to shaft until it is aligned with motor
pulley.

Install other pillow block (11) on shaft (9).

Installation of Drive Shaft.
(1)
Position drivebelt around pulley (13, fig. 4-96).
(2)
Install key (6) in keyway of input shaft (11, fig. 3-37) of speed reducer.
(3)
Position drive shaft assembly on mounting brackets with flexible coupling (2) over speed reducer input
shaft (12). The shaft must not extend past the center of the coupling. Lock coupling to shaft with setscrew (5, fig. 4-96).
(4)
Secure pillow blocks (3, fig. 3-37) to mounting brackets with screws (5), washers (6) and nuts (7).
(5)
Align pulley (13, fig. 4-96) with drive motor pulley and lock pulley to shaft (9) with setscrew (5).
(6)
Position belt on pulley (13) and on drive motor pulley.
(7)
Adjust the belt.

4-113. RAW WATER DISTRIBUTION PUMP.
a.
Removal of Pump From Frame.
(1)
Disconnect and tag electrical cable (15, fig. 4-97) from short section of cable attached to electric motor
(4).
(2)
Remove nuts (12), washers (13), and screws (11).
(3)
Lift electric motor (14) and pump out of frame (1) as an assembly, and clean electrical terminals.
