Check all equipment for dirt or grime,
rust, corrosion, and worn or chipped
paint. Wipe or scrub clean with house-
hold detergents; remove rust and corro-
sion by wire brushing, scraping, or chip-
ping. Immediately paint cleaned areas
with zinc chromate primer and finish
paint to match surrounding area in accor-
dance with TB 43-0144. DO NOT paint
threads or labels.
