ORGANIZATIONAL MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS
Section I. REPAIR PARTS, SPECIAL TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT
4-1. Special Tools and Equipment
There are no special tools and equipment required for
organizational maintenance.
4-2. Maintenance Repair Parts
Repair parts and equipment are listed and illustrated
in the repair parts and special tools list covering
organizational maintenance for this equipment in
appendix C of this manual.
WARNING
Always turn the unit off and disconnect power cord
from power source prior to performing any main-
tenance. Failure to do so could result in severe
injury and possible death to personnel.
Section II. PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE CHECKS AND SERVICES
(MONTHLY AND QUARTERLY)
4-3. General
To insure that the steam cleaner is ready for
operation at all times, it must be inspected
systematically so that defects may be discovered
and corrected before they result in serious
damage or failure. The necessary preventive
maintenance services to be performed are listed and
described in paragraph 4-4. The item numbers
indicate the sequence of inspection requirements.
Defects
discovered
during
the
maintenance
performance shall be noted for future correction. All
deficiencies and malfunctions shall be recorded
together with the corrective action taken on DA
Form
2404
(Equipment
Inspection
and
Maintenance Worksheet) at the earliest possible
opportunity.
4-4. Monthly/ Quarterly Preventive Main-
tenance Services
Table 4-1 contains a listing of preventive
maintenance services which must be performed by
organizational maintenance personnel at monthly or
quarterly intervals. The item numbers are listed
consecutively and indicate the sequence of minimum
requirements.
