2-68. CARTRIDGE FILTER ASSEMBLY REPLACEMENT/REPAIR (CONT)

Loosen top nuts on four hold-down rods.

Turn retainer washers until flat side faces casing.

Using suitable lifting device and sling, remove casing.

Remove four hold-down rods, retainer washers, and eight nuts.

Remove reducer from bottom assembly.

Remove filter disc. Remove and discard gasket.

Remove end plate from standoffs.

Remove T-pipe assembly from pipe connecting it to second T-pipe.

Place T-pipe assembly in a vise.

Remove cartridge valve, pipe, nipple, and three reducers from tee pipe.

Remove pipe from T-pipe.

Remove T-pipe from vise.

Using a suitable lifting device, follow instruction on instruction plate and lift skid assembly.

Remove four nuts.

Remove four standoffs from skid assembly.

Remove lifting device.
d. Casing Assembly and Installation

Using a suitable lifting device, follow instructions on instruction plate and lift skid assembly.

Install four standoffs.

Install four nuts.

Place T-pipe in a vise.
5
Install pipe at top of T-pipe.
6
Install three reducers, nipple, and cartridge valve.
7
Remove T-pipe assembly from vise.
