2-93. FUEL FILTER ASSEMBLY REPLACEMENT/REPAIR (CONT)
c. Base Removal
1
Loosen line nut. Disconnect fuel line.

Loosen line nut. Disconnect fuel pressure gage line.

Loosen union nut.

Remove two filter base mounting nuts and flatwashers. Remove filter base.
5
Remove elbow, adapter, and seal from base.
6
Remove elbow and seal from base.
7
Remove connector and seal from base.
d. Base Installation
1
Install seal and connector.
2
Install seal and elbow.
3
Install seal, adapter, and elbow.
4
Install fuel filter base, alining connector with union nut.
5
Install two flatwashers and mounting nuts.
6
Tighten union nut.
7
Install fuel pressure gage line. Tighten line nut.
8
Install fuel line. Tighten line nut.
e. Priming Pump Installation
1
Clean gasket mounting surfaces.
2
Install gasket and pump. Install two bolts and flatwashers.
3
Turn on fuel supply.
4 Bleed fuel system. (See TM 10-4610-229-10.)
