2-91. OIL COOLER REPLACEMENT/REPAIR (CONT)
b. Disassembly
Remove water outlet pipe and O-ring from oil cooler. Discard 0-ring.
c. Assembly

Coat O-ring with clean engine oil (MIL-L-2104).

Insert water outlet pipe and O-ring in oil cooler.
3
Coat O-ring with clean engine oil (MIL-L-2104).
4
Insert oil cooler and O-ring in inlet coupling.
d. Installation
1
Install oil cooler on filter base.
2
Insert four filter base mounting bolts. Do not tighten.
3
Insert four oil cooler mounting bolts. Tighten bolts.
4
Tighten four filter base mounting bolts.
5
Fill cooling system (para 2-98).
6
Add oil (para 2-92).
