2-100. WATER TEMPERATURE REGULATOR REPLACEMENT (CONT)
a. Removal
1
Loosen coolant hose clamps. Remove hose.

Remove three bolts. Remove regulator housing and gasket. Discard gasket.
3
Remove regulator from housing.
4
Remove seal from regulator housing.
b. Installation
1
Clean all mating surfaces.
NOTE
Lip of seal should face away from regulator when installed.

Coat seal lip with light film of oil (MIL-L-2104).
3
Install seal in regulator housing.
4
Install regulator in housing.
5
Install gasket and regulator housing. Aline mounting holes.
6
Install three mounting bolts.
