Remove seven machine bolts and flatwashers. Remove front valve cover base and gasket. Discard gasket.

Remove seven machine bolts and flatwashers. Remove rear valve cover base and gasket. Discard gasket.

Installation

Clean all base gasket mounting surfaces.

Install gasket and rear valve cover base.
3
Install seven flatwashers and machine bolts. Torque bolts to 96-144 in. lb.

Install gasket and front valve cover base.

Install seven flatwashers and machine bolts. Torque bolts to 96-144 in. lb.

Clean all gasket mounting surfaces.
7
Install gasket and rear valve cover. Install six washerhead bolts. Torque bolts to 96-144 in. lb.

Install gasket and front valve cover. Install six washerhead bolts. Torque bolts to 96-144 in. lb.
9
Install breather (para 2-94).
