Replace damaged or unserviceable parts.
Clean gasket and flange faces of adapter (4) and its seal cavity. Also, clean stub shaft (23).
When the clearance between the impeller (10) and diffuser (7) exceeds 0.040'', replace impeller and diffuser.
CAUTION
Do not scratch the lapped face of the seal.
a. Lubricate seal seat (18) and the seal cavity in adapter (4) with soapy water solution. Press seal (18) into the seal
cavity of adapter (4) evenly and squarely.

Install dowels (16) and studs (17) in adapter (4).
Install slinger (24).
Install stub shaft (23) and secure with two setscrews (21), nuts (20) and roll pin (22). Install stud (19).
CAUTION
Be careful to avoid damage to the seal.
With the motor vertical (shaft up), install adapter (4) and secure with four capscrews (14).

f. Install carbon disc (15), spring (12) and spring plate (11). Place key (13) in keyslot on stub shaft (23) and install
impeller (10) on stub shaft (23). Secure with nut (9).
g. Install diffuser (7) on adapter (4) using two dowels (16), studs (17), washers (6), and nuts (5). Install preformed
packing (8 and 3).
h. Install pump case (2) and secure with four capscrews (1).
